Bamberg is reached easily from the south on the motorway
A73, from the west on the motorway A70, and from the north & east on
the motorway A9/A70.
If you come, for example, from Nuremberg (motorway A73), the way to
TREFF PUNKT is as follows:
- exit "Bamberg-Süd", follow the sign "Centrum" /
"Würzburg".
- After the Bamberg city limit sign turn left at the second traffic
light, following the sign "Centrum" / "Würzburg"
- you are now on the street called Forchheimer Straße.
- At the second traffic light left (crossroads) continue following
the sign "Centrum" / "Würzburg" / "Klinikum" - you
are now crossing the canal.
- After the bridge turn immediately right at the traffic light,
following the sign "Centrum" (not "Würzburg"
anymore!)
- You are now driving parallel to the canal on the street Rhein-Main-Donau
Damm.
- After about 400m the street forks. Stay parallel to the canal
and do not follow the sign "Centrum" - the embankment
is now called Heinrichsdamm..
- You pass by two more bridges. At the second bridge (Luitpoldbrücke)
continue straight ahead. In front of you you see a prohibition sign
for busses (red circle on the outside, white on the inside with
a bus in the middle). Please continue straight ahead since it is
only valid for buses.
- To the office: Turn
left at the first street (Heinrichsstraße) which leads into
the PROMENADE. (Address office: Hauptwachstrasse 19). Parking is only possible
on the right, since the parking spots on the left are reserved for
residents (ticket!) .
- To the school: Drive
further to the next bridge (Kettenbrücke) and turn right. After
the bridge turn left at the traffic light (single option). After
about 150m you will see on the left hand side the brewery "Fässla"
and a very small street turn off (Letzengasse). The house at the
right hand side of this small street is our school: Hauptwachstraße
19.
