Bamberg, with its outstanding tourist-oriented infrastructure, offers an excellent range of accommodation options.

You can live in a private home, a self-contained apartment / studio of your own or in a hotel.

Should you decide in favour of private accommodation you will need to stay for at elast 2 weeks.

• Sharing with a German of your age group: EUR 87 per week.
  You will have a single room, shared kitchen and facilities.
  These singles letting rooms are part or full time workers between 30 and 50.

• Living with a family: EUR 107 with breakfast and EUR 152 with half-board per week.
  If you want to stay with a family you have to be prepared to take the bus to the center or the bicycle. As you can imagine, most of the families live in big houses and have a garden, they are not located directly in the center. The longest distance by bus from a family to the center ( = to the school) is 15 minutes. You will have a single room in the house but the bathroom often to share.

• Self-contained apartment / studio: EUR 35 to EUR 60 per day. This is the right place for those people who want to have a place of their own, but at the same time appreciate the possibility of having a fully equipped kitchen to do some cooking. TVs are available in all of these apartments, so is an internet-compatible telephone line. These apartments are in private houses and the the landlady usually lives nearby to answer any of your queries. The apartments are very nicely located in the old town, with a maximum walking distance of 15 minutes to the school.

When choosing a hotel we recommend you consider the following criteria:

• distance to both the Language Institute and the town centre - usually about 10 minutes on foot
• infrastructure, including Internet connection, in the hotel
• quiet location, so that you can both relax and concentrate on your learning

• also called "Romantic Hotel"
• situated right in the main center of Bamberg
• Comfort, service and an excellent cuisine are the characteristics of this hotel.

Hotel-Gasthof "Wilde Rose":

• a traditional guest house
• good price for its central locationin the pedestrian zone, close to "Gabelmann"
• famous for their restaurant

• built in the center of the river in the old town center

Brauereigasthof Fässla:

• one of the nine breweries in Bamberg
• walking distance: The hotel is situated right next to the school.
